The James Harden Fiasco Continues

Over the past 5 years, James Harden has been one of the most infuriating players in all of basketball. He has gone on to demand trades from 3 different teams and has been a head case for each an everyone of those teams.

In Harden's 9 years that he played with the Rockets, he was one of the best players in basketball, averaging over 25 PPG every single year he played for them. However, as Harden entered his 9th year with the team, he was ready to leave and demanded a trade to the Brooklyn Nets to play alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, forming one of the most deadly big threes in the history of basketball. Not only did Harden request a trade out of Houston, but he did whatever it took to get out as soon as possible. Many fans believe that he even wore a fat-suit to get his way out. Finally, after just playing 8 games for the team that year, the Rockets traded Harden to the Nets where he went on to play just 2 seasons with the team.

During Harden's tenure with the Nets he averaged 23.5 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 10.5 APG. However, these stats were not enough to get the job done. Just before the trade deadline, Harden requested out - this time to the 76ers to form a dynamic duo with the MVP in Joel Embiid.

Now, after only playing 2 season with the Sixers, Harden has once again demanded a trade to the Clippers in hopes of playing alongside Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Harden has even gone so far this time to call out the 76ers GM, Daryl Morey, calling him a lier.

This is a trend that we are beginning to see more and more with James Harden and he continues to show that he is not an elite playoff performer. We now ask the question, does James Harden bring much value to a team, or does he only create chaos?
