Odell Signs with Baltimore

On Sunday, April 9th, Odell Beckham Jr. agreed to a 1-year, $18 million contract and $15 million guaranteed with the Baltimore Ravens, according to Espn's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rappaport.
For months on end, OBJ has brought great controversy to his name as he rumored to sign with his former team, the New York Giants, or their conference rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. Beckham has bounced around the NFL the past couple of seasons, playing in Cleveland to team up with Jarvis Landry for 3 seasons, LA for a short 1 season stint, to win a ring, and now Baltimore. Odell was once an All-Pro and Pro Bowl receiver during his time in New York but has since become a ring chaser.
OBJ took his announcement to Instagram, as he posted his son wearing a Baltimore Ravens Odell Beckham Jr. jersey.
When the news broke about Odell signing with the Ravens, it was reported that Lamar Jackson played a large role in recruiting OBJ to the Ravens, where the two even had a FaceTime call after the signing. But what does this mean for Lamar? Is the former MVP still going to be a Raven? Nothing had been said regarding Jackson and Ravens, but Beckham would do anything to catch passes from Lamar, saying "Lamar, if you're watching, I would love to get to work with you, I'll talk to these guys over here. Hopefully that gets done."
On March 2nd, MVP, Lamar Jackson requested a trade away from the Ravens organization, where just five days later, the Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson. This allows Jackson to negotiate with other teams, and if he decides to sign with another team, the Ravens have five days to match the deal or receive two first-round draft picks.
Having OBJ back on a team, and a contending team, being the Ravens, makes the NFL happy to see him back on the field catching passes. But will Odell catch passes from Lamar Jackson, or someone else? Nonetheless, this signing will hopefully boost the Ravens confidence to have veteran and will maybe give Odell some hope again.
