Down Fall of Daniel Jones and the New York Giants

In 2022 the Giants had a great year with a 9-7 record which were high expectations for them because in 2021 they were 4-13. Daniel Jones had a big leap from 2021 to 2022. From 2428 yards 10 Touchdowns and 7 Interceptions to 3205 yards 15 Touchdowns and 5 Interceptions which was the one of the lowest amongst Quarterbacks and defense went from allowing 24 points to 21.
In 2023, almost midway through the season they are 2-8 and arguably the worst team in the league. It all started in the first few games, mostly on the O line. Andrew Thomas and rookie John Micheal Schmitz. The first 4 games the Giants started out 1-3 and went to play the dolphins and Daniel Jones got injured towards the end of the game.
Tyrod Taylor took over as the Quarterback but couldn't get the job done. Tyrod Taylor was playing solid and with a close game to the Jets but suffered a rib injury and the undrafted free agent Tommy DeVito from Syracuse took over. He showed that he couldn't be a starter for the giants and made history for the fewest passing yards in NFL history. The week after Daniell Jones against the Raiders he tore his ACL and Tommy DeVito is named starting quarterback
Here's what Giants Legend Eli Manning had to say on his injury: “He’s going to come back, he’s going to be healthy,” Manning said. “He works hard. He’s a great teammate. He does all the intangible things really, really well, and I think they got to trust him, can put some guys, get help around them and continue to grow with these teams. I think when you sign your key guys to contracts, Saquon, Dexter Lawrence, Daniel. You put these guys, you keep adding guys around them and you don’t just say, hey, switch it up right away because you have one bad year.”
I agree with Eli. You can just trade a Quarterback because of a bad year. We saw how much potential Daniel Jones can have when he has a pretty healthy offensive line and receiving core during the playoffs. We should give him one more year and that's when the giants should make the decision to replace him or not.
The Giants right now have the second pick in the NFL draft and will most likely get the first. They should take WR Marvin Harrison jr who is the best receiver in this draft with 59 receptions 1063 yards and 12 Touchdowns this season.
I'm looking past this crazy and surprising season and can't wait to see what next season brings to the table.
