A Preview to the 2023 MLB Season

Baseball fans, get ready for another exciting season of baseball. The 2023 Major League Baseball season is upon us, and there is a lot to look forward to.

One of the most significant changes to this season is the expanded playoffs. Instead of 10 teams, the postseason will feature 12 teams, giving more teams a shot at the World Series. With more teams in the hunt, the competition will be fierce, and fans can expect plenty of huge moments.

As we begin to watch this year's Spring Training games, baseball fans all over have noticed the new pitch clock. A 15 second clock winds down and forces the pitcher to pitch faster, making at bats less lengthy. This will also decrease the duration of baseball games. Baseball fans may be upset by this, not getting the real baseball feel. Those just starting to watch America's pastime, may get lethargic while watching a game, but the pitch clock will help them stay focused.

The 2023 season will also feature some of the game's brightest young stars making their debuts. Gunnar Henderson of the Baltimore Orioles, Orioles and Corbin Carroll of the Diamondbacks are expected to make big impacts in their freshman season. They'll join established superstars like Mike Trout, Aaron Judge, and Juan Soto, making for a league loaded with talent.

Several teams will be worth watching this season. The Houston Astros will be looking to defend their World Series championship, while the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees will be looking to reclaim their spots atop their respective divisions. The New York Mets and San Diego Padres, two teams with plenty of talent, will also be worth keeping an eye on.

Overall, the 2023 MLB season promises to be full of excitement and drama. With a lot of rule changes, talented young stars, and established superstars, there will be no shortage of thrilling moments to keep fans on the edge of their seats. So, let's get ready for an exciting season of baseball.
