The Nuggets win 4-1 to move onto the second round against the Timberwolves. This series win was no surprise. This year the Nuggets have been the best team in the West, maintaining the 1 seed for a good majority of the season. Nikola Jokic has been playing like an MVP all season long and has continued to do so in these playoffs, averaging 26.2 PPG, 12.4 RPG, and 9 APG. In addition to Jokic, Jamal Murray has also stepped up big in these playoffs, proving to be one of the best playoff performers in the game. Although they couldn't sweep the Timberwolves, they handled this series with ease and are ready for a challenge as they play the Phoenix Suns next.

On the other hand, the Timberwolves came into this series after just making the playoffs by winning against the Thunder in the play in game. The Timberwolves also entered these playoffs with much drama in their hands as well. They seemed to slowly gain the team chemistry back late into the series, but even so, there is work to be done.

The one positive takeaway for the Timberwolves in this series is the level that Anthony Edwards was playing at, as well as the mentality he had throughout the series. Edwards averaged 31.6 PPG and was able to lead his team to victory in 1 of the 5 games.

The Nuggets will definitely face a much better team in the next round and will have to put up a fight in order to beat the three headed monster of Kevin Durant, Devin Book, and Chris Paul on the Suns. As for the Timberwolves, we will definitely see some moves made this offseason and it should be pretty interesting. Will Karl Anthony Towns or Anthony Edwards request a trade? Will Rudy Gobert be traded? Will they sign someone in free agency? Who knows...this is the NBA.
