Who will win the 2023-24 NFL MVP?

There are 4 players who I think have the best chance to win the NFL MVP this year.
First, and most obviously, the reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes has a good chance of holding onto his crown. Mahomes is coming off of a season where he threw for 5250 yards and 41 TDs, and he capped that season off with a Super Bowl MVP trophy. Right now, it seems that the only things that could stop Mahomes are injuries or voter fatigue.
The only non-QB who I think has a chance to win the award this season is Justin Jefferson. Jefferson is coming off of a season where he almost broke Calvin Johnson’s receiving yards record with 1809, hauling in 8 touchdowns on top of that. Jefferson has an uphill battle against the voters’ quarterback biases, but if anyone can do it, it will be Jefferson.
Jalen Hurts is coming off of a breakout year where he surprised many doubters by putting his name in the MVP race, and with this stacked Philadelphia offense around him, he should be able to do this again. Hurts looked amazing all year last year, and after his Super Bowl performance, it’s clear that he is the real deal. If Jalen Hurts can repeat a similar season to last year, he should have a pretty high chance of winning MVP, and in his situation that seems very doable.
Finally, Joe Burrow could definitely make a push for MVP this year. Since Burrow came into the league, he has looked great, and in recent years his supporting cast has been improving along with him. I think that this year might finally be the year that this improvement culminates in the NFL’s greatest award. Joe Burrow doesn’t have the stats of everyone else on this list, but he has proven time and time again that he is a winner. Joe Burrow encapsulates what the NFL MVP should be as he has brought this Cincinnati Bengals team from the first overall pick to contenders year in and year out in just a few seasons. If Burrow can steal that one seed in the AFC from Patrick Mahomes, I think there is a good chance that he finally walks away with the NFL MVP.
