Kareem Jackson: This is Not WWE!

As a safety in the NFL, it is your job to watch over the middle of the field and make sure no player gets past the secondary, while at the same time, making a big hit on a receiver that runs a crossing route. And Kareem Jackson of the Denver Broncos, did just that.

In today's game featuring the Denver Broncos and the Washington Commanders, in Denver, with 1:52 left on the clock in the first half, rookie quarterback found veteran tight end, Logan Thomas, in the endzone. Now, Thomas, is not a small man, he stands 6'6 and weighs 250 pounds. This takes a lot of force to take this grown man down, but Jackson was able to do so. Jackson lowered his shoulder after Thomas ran an inside 6-yard post into the endzone. After the catch, Jackson went full John Cena mode and sent Thomas to the floor, KO. Thomas was then ruled out with a concussion for the remainder of the game. On the other hand, Jackson would be charged with a targeting penalty, and ejected from the contest.

This was not the first time Jackson hit someone this hard this season. In last week's game against the Las Vegas Raiders, at home, Jackson was seen hit sticking Jakobi Meyers over the middle of the field. Meyers ran a 5-yeard slant, and Jackson met Meyers, continuing to lower his shoulder into his head, causing Meyers to come down with a concussion. Jackson would be charged with another targeting penalty, and following the game, a $14,819 fine. Of course, Jackson went on to apologize to Meyers, saying "Obviously, we don’t play this game to hurt guys. It’s a tough sport we play. … Unfortunately, stuff like that happens. Definitely sending my thoughts and prayers to him." Although this sounds kind and sincere, this does not explain why he went on to hit Thomas in the week 2 matchup.

The Broncos organization seriously needs to control Jackson's mannerisms on the field before someone else becomes injured again. The Broncos do not need to lose a star player like Kareem Jackson.
