Will Josh Dobbs and the Vikings bounce back after a devastating loss?

The former starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings during the October 29th win against the Packers at Lambeau Field. He is placed on IR and will miss the rest of the season. Days later they signed quarterback Josh Dobbs who was playing with the Arizona Cardinals at this time.

Next week against the Falcons, Dobbs went into the game knowing barely any plays and still put the Vikings on top 31-28. He went 20-30 with 158 yards and 2 Touchdowns. He still played average in his next two games. The game against the Saints 23-34 268 yards and 1 Touchdown, Despite his one interception in a game against the Broncos he threw 20-32 for 221 yards and 1 touchdown they lost that game 21-20.

The Vikings on MNF were looking for a bounce back win against the Bears but it didn't go as planned as Josh Dobbs had a horrible performance with 22-32 attempts, 185 yards, 1 touchdown and 4 Interceptions.

Here's what Head Coach, Kevin O’Connell had to say about it: "We're going to take a look, you know, really evaluate the inventory of plays now we have of Josh," This was his answer to a question about a quarterback change.

Dobbs said he was not focusing on whether the takeaways will result in him going back to the bench,  This is what he has to say about his performance: "Honestly, I think that's a coaching decision, but, no I don't," Dobbs said. "I just focus on myself, focus on how I can help this team win, focus on how I can be a better teammate, a better quarterback and focus on how I can make sure the offense is in the right play based on the scenario to go out and execute and play at a high level."

I think Josh Dobbs can still perform at a high level because Josh fought, kept playing and competing to try to help the vikings win. I credit him for that, it's hard to do on a night where you've turned the football over frequently and I think he's a real competitor to this game. Dobbs just needs to clean up a few things and get ready for next week playing the Raiders.
